A Fun Weekend Around The UK for Efficient Endurance

Athletes from Efficient Endurance were out in force over the weekend, taking on team relays, trail ultras, and duathlons. Here is a roundup of how everyone got on.

Bedford Team Relays

Two teams travelled down to Bedford for the Team Relays, which saw teams of three each swim, then cycle, then run.

  • Team ‘He Tolerates Us’ (Dan, Kirsty, and Soph) finished as the 3rd placed 2 Female, 1 Male team.
  • Team ‘We Tolerate Him’ (Abbie, Chris, and honorary member Frank) finished as the 3rd placed 2 Male, 1 Female team.

It was epic fun on what was not the fastest course and turned out to be a tough event. More teams next year?

Lions Bridge Trail 50k

Just outside Wigan, Andrea put herself under some pressure to finish the Lions Bridge Trail 50k in under 7 hours. She smashed that target, crossing the line in 6 hours and 44 minutes.

Along the way, she set her fastest Half Marathon, Marathon, and 50K times of the year!

Ravensbury Estate

Solo runner in a field

Lewis pushed himself at the Ravensbury Estate, aiming to go further than last year. Unfortunately, he had to settle for the same distance owing to time lost from unforeseen circumstances—but we live and we learn.

The positive takeaway? He was faster to that same point for less effort than last year!

Belvoir Castle Duathlon

Efficient Endurance athlete on a podium at Belvoir castle race series

Away at Belvoir Castle, Ruth was at her favoured Duathlon again—this time tackling the standard distance event rather than the middle.

She showed off really good speed on the bike, where the recent training focus has been, to finish as 2nd lady overall and 1st in her age group.

Well done everyone!
