Prepare for Your Half Ironman with a Genuine Coaching Partnership

Enjoy a supportive, personal partnership with consistent contact and a realistic structure that keeps your 70.3 preparation clear, balanced, and rewarding.

Training for a 70.3 shouldn’t take over your entire existence. Trying to balance three sports with everyday life and family commitments usually leaves you permanently tired, stretched thin, and quietly doubting your preparation. Without a trusted, experienced person to talk to, you end up stuck in your own head—navigating scheduling conflicts and staring at training data entirely on your own, constantly wondering if your hard work is actually making you stronger or just running you into the ground.

My coaching replaces that isolation with a genuine partnership and a clear, realistic structure. I take the stress of planning off your plate while providing consistent personal contact and reassurance. We adapt the training dynamically to fit the moving target of your week. This relationship-first approach means you never have to guess or train in an echo chamber, giving you the objective support and belief needed to get to the start line healthy, calm, and fully prepared.

Training for your First half Ironman?

If you are stepping up to the middle distance for the first time, your biggest hurdles are usually mental. Whether you are losing sleep over the washing machine of a crowded swim start or worrying your legs will turn to jelly on the run, you don’t need a hyper-complicated spreadsheet. You need a realistic, step-by-step path that fits your life.

Together, we focus on building your endurance safely, sorting out the fourth discipline of race-day nutrition, and removing the anxiety of the unknown so you can finish safely and comfortably.

Looking to PB or podium?

If you want to shave time off your personal best or target an Age Group World Championship place, simply stacking up more training hours usually leads to injury or deep exhaustion. Your focus must shift from simply finishing to absolute precision.

Together, we look closely at your past race files, find the specific weak spots holding you back—like hitting a wall on the run or losing focus on the bike—and ensure every hour counts. We work as a tight team to give you a genuine performance advantage while keeping your health and life in balance.

The Traps That Leave You Tired But Not Faster

Most ambitious, uncoached athletes fall into the trap of trying to do every session perfectly, ignoring how everyday life stress impacts physical recovery. Without a dedicated coach to keep things in perspective, athletes frequently face:

  • The Juggling Act & Guilt: Waking up early completely unsure how to logistically fit a critical brick session or a long ride around family life and daily routines, leading to constant compromise and the feeling that you are letting down either your household or your training goals.

  • The Late-Race Fade: Putting in months of honest, hard work only to watch your running pace fall off a cliff after mile 6 of the half marathon, or finishing with the exact same race time year after year because you are stuck training in the grey zone of junk miles.

  • Injury and Taper Madness: Pushing through nagging aches and pains because you are terrified that missing a single workout will ruin your entire race, which inevitably leads to forced time off or deep exhaustion right before race day.

  • The Mental Echo Chamber: Second-guessing yourself constantly. Carrying the anxiety of the distance without an objective sounding board to look at your data, talk you down, and adjust the schedule when life gets in the way.

Training Built Around You

Efficient Endurance is about making training fit your life, not forcing your life to revolve around a training plan.

I combine solid, evidence-based methods with your deep knowledge of your own routine, home commitments, and physical limits. By checking in constantly and making decisions together, we take the guesswork out of the training volume. This ensures your progression fits naturally into your routine, so you can line up on race morning feeling healthy, relaxed, and completely certain of your preparation.

No rigid templates. Just a practical, hands-on partnership.

  • Mapping the Path Together: We look at your target event and reverse-engineer the months ahead. We break the year down into practical, manageable blocks—moving from basic fitness to race-specific simulation weekends. We agree on this layout together so the training always feels realistic against your personal calendar.

  • Tailoring Your TrainingPeaks Schedule: Your workouts are built directly into TrainingPeaks based on the actual hours you have available each week. We set your individual swim, bike, and run target zones together. This is a two-way process; we shift the duration or intensity based on how your body is coping and how your week unfolds.

  • Direct WhatsApp Contact and Weekly Reviews: We manage the training side-by-side using regular communication and a formal weekly review. If an unexpected life commitment pops up or your family needs priority, we talk it through and change the schedule together. You never have to worry about how to modify a key session on your own; we handle it as a team.

  • Supportive Progress Reviews: We look at your training data and your personal feedback together to track your physiological improvements. This isn’t an interrogation; it’s a practical, honest look at what is working well and what needs tweaking. By reviewing things together, you learn to understand your own numbers, build genuine confidence, and stay fully involved in every decision leading up to race day.

ARRIVE AT THE START WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE

The ultimate goal of having a coach is to get rid of the constant worry that tracks a 70.3 build-up. Together, we address the exact fears that keep triathletes awake at night—whether that is panicking in open water, bonking hard on the run, or wondering if you have done enough miles to achieve your goal.

When your plan is clear and we are talking regularly, the anxiety disappears. Whether you are tackling your first middle-distance race or returning to improve a past performance, solving these problems together means you stand on the start line feeling calm, in control, and completely ready.
